At the Islamic Education and Community Center (HillTop Masjid), "providing a safe place" as we strive to strengthen faith, character, and unity by learning and living the values and principles of Al-Islam in every part of our lives and community.
Our Mission:
To establish a balanced and progressive Muslim community grounded in the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the life and example of Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him).
We aim to provide holistic education rooted in Islamic principles, foster meaningful engagement with the wider community, and promote excellence in economic, educational, and cultural development.
We seek to strengthen relationships with other faith communities and serve as a resource for assisting the disadvantaged. Through our commitment to spiritual and academic excellence, we strive to nurture future generations who embody faith, purpose, and service to Allah/G-d and humanity.
About Us
The Islamic Educational and Community Center (IECC–HTM) is a registered not-for-profit organization with the State of Washington (UBI #601767433) and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt entity (EIN #81-0677825).
Located (will be) in the heart of Tacoma’s historic Hilltop community, IECC–HTM, represents over 35 years of African-American Muslim presence and service in the area. For the first time, we are actively fundraising to acquire a permanent property to serve as our Center and Masjid—Hilltop Masjid (HTM)—God willing.
